For the first time in a very long time there was a joint meeting between the Town of Aurora and the Village of East Aurora governments.
The vast majority of the time was filled with the Town Engineer giving both governing bodies a presentation on the findings of the Joint Municipal facility proposal for a new building to house the Village, the Town and the Library on Main Street.
Supervisor Jolene Jeffe said she was concerned about asking residents to pay for the facility and Councilman Jeffrey Harris spoke at every opportunity about the fact that the building on Gleed as a joint facility was not given a fair shake even though the building only met 1 of the 5 criteria set forth for a joint facility.
Councilwoman Susan Friess said that the town and the village should get all of the information to the residents and let them decide in a referendum.

Wow! How many politicians can you fit around one table? I counted 15! You could run a small country with this many people!
