The major items that were discussed were the new 33 lot subdivision being proposed on Jewett Holmwood Road.  The developers along with their attorney Peter Sorgi presented the plan which has already been approved by the planning board and has been given a OK via the SEQRA process as well.

Six residents spoke out against the plan and were mostly concerned about the access road which is close to the Quaker Road intersection.

Another item on the agenda was a presentation by the Town Auditor's from Drescher & Malecki who noted that the town outside of the village budget is in trouble because the police costs have been rising and the town has been using the fund balance to pay for it instead of cutting in other areas or raising additional revenue.  This year they have a $110,000 gap that has to be made up.  See related article here.
